WHAT IS AN ALKALINE DIET?

The Alkaline lifestyle is the most natural way of living. This means only consuming foods and herbs that are natural to this earth and been around for years, even longer than humans, which means these foods can exist without the aid of humans.

Natural plant foods supply electrolytes and nutrients but are also on alkaline side of the PH scale, so perfect for keeping the blood alkaline because the body works to maintain a PH level in the blood round 7.4.

When the body is overtaxed constantly with acidic foods like meat, dairy and processed foods the body will then strip alkaline material like calcium from bones and fluids throughout the body to put back into the blood to maintain its pH 7.4 level. In doing this it compromises the health of organs and how they function leading to the development of disease like kidney disease, heart disease and liver disease.

Dr Sebi also taught us the importance of fasting to replace damaged cells, remove toxins and regenerate new cells, he once said - “Fasting is good.” Fasting gives the body a break from having to digest new incoming food. It allows the body to focus on properly digesting and removing toxins that are already present.

Herbs are also important and they can act as tonics, rejuvenators, cleansers, and healers.
